Breast Lift Consultation
Breast Lift Consultation
If your breasts need improvement in shape or are sagging, a lift might be just the thing for you, whether or not you want implants at the same time. Dr. Christopher Jones can perform a breast lift that tightens the surrounding skin and support structures to give your breasts the youthful shape they once had.
What can a breast lift do?
Age, weight, and gravity affect the appearance of your breasts. Rejuvenate them with a relatively minor surgical procedure that boosts their support structure so they look more uplifted and rounded. You can also have the size of the areolas adjusted. A breast lift won’t measurably change the size of your breasts. If you want larger breasts, consider augmentation at the same time. If you want smaller ones, Dr. Jones can remove some tissue during your lift procedure.
Who is a candidate for a breast lift?
A good candidate is a woman who wants to restore a normal, youthful shape to her breast. You may feel self-conscious because of the sagging tissue in your breasts or their loss in volume. If your breasts are slightly flat or elongated and your nipples point downward, a breast lift can help. Consult with Dr. Jones if you have breasts that are uneven or have one that sags lower than the other. He’ll work with you to develop a treatment plan that will get you the results you’re after. To qualify for this surgery you must be a non-smoker.
Is recovery difficult?
Recovery from a breast lift alone is relatively easy. If you have augmentation at the same time, recovery will take a bit longer. You can shower the day after surgery. You will not generally have extensive dressings, and a support bra postoperatively is suggested for comfort. Dr. Jones will give you guidance as to when you can expect to return to all your daily activities.
How soon will I see results?
You’ll immediately be able to tell a difference following your surgery. As the incision lines heal and swelling resolves, the results will be even more impressive. Wait several weeks or months for the breasts to settle into their new position and for scars to fade. You can maintain the lift’s effects best if you live a healthy lifestyle — don’t smoke, abuse substances, or eat poorly — and maintain your weight.
